Elizabeth + John are married! The sweet couple had their wedding ceremony at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas and then held their reception at the Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving, TX. It was such a gorgeous day for a wedding! Everything was so special and every detail thought out. Elizabeth wore a beautiful pearl necklace from John's parents and her pearl earrings were a gift from John on their very first Christmas together. Remember the traditional wedding saying, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe.”? I feel like that last part often gets forgotten, but not at this wedding! Elizabeth placed a 1919 penny in her shoe, a penny that both her mother and grandmother also wore in their shoes on their wedding days! The thought behind having a penny in the bride's shoe, was that it would lead the bride + groom to prosperity, wealth & good fortune. We loved that Elizabeth incorporated this tradition on her wedding day! The guest book pen was also passed down, it was used at Elizabeth's parents' wedding -- how special!
The newlyweds and all the guests enjoyed dinner, dancing and celebrating at the country club, then the bride and groom departed the venue through sparklers and they were off! We were honored to be a part of such a lovely wedding day, and we know Elizabeth + John are going to have a great life together!
